Sasha is a world famous DJ and music producer. He is known for his technical DJ abilities, music productions and his incorporation of new DJ technologies (Ableton Live, Pro Tools) into his sets/productions. Sasha started DJing in the late 80s on the Acid House circuit - his first gig is said to have been in a local pub. In the late eighties/early nineties He achieved recognition and praise after becoming a big name on the Manchester club circuit. His gigs at The Haçienda in Manchester, Shelley's Laserdrome in Stoke-on-Trent and later the Renaissance series of club nights helped him become one of the most widely regarded DJs on the scene. In the nineties he went onto work with producer BT, vocalist Maria Nayler - but it his collaborations with John Digweed for which he is best known, together they worked on the: first Renaissance album, Northern Exposure albums and toured up and down the country. Sasha became synonymous with the Progressive House and Trance music scene. His silky smooth mixing, track selection and constant innovation made him one of the most in demand DJs of these genres which led to him playing in diverse locations such as Twilo in New York and Space in Ibiza. In 1999 he selected tracks for the game Wip3out. In 2002 he embarked on an epic tour of America with John Digweed and Jimmy Van M - known as the Delta Heavy Tour. In 2005 Sasha received a Grammy nomination for his remix of Felix da Housecat's "Watching Cars Go By", which was featured on his album Involver. In 2007 he set up his own record label emFire.
