Riley was born on April 7, 1981 in Ogden, Utah; his mother, Nancy Ann Morgan, a social worker and psychotherapist, his father, Grae Winfield, a painter and businessman had died when Riley was 15. With his parents, Riley moved to Washington State and took acting classes in Seattle per his request. Shortly after, Riley won a best actor award at age of 13 for his portrayal of "Ham" in his school's production of "The Sandlot". In High School, Riley took acting and his friends began making short films. Riley earned his BA in Marketing from Western Washington University, and also studied Fine Arts. He began taking screenwriting classes in Seattle after a trip to Australia. And while selling wine for a living he made his first short film "The Grapevine", where Riley plays multiple characters. Shortly after filming his short he moved to Los Angeles, where he created the short film "The Jesus & The Pirate" a deep look into the soul of an artist. His first chance of work in LA, was in the series finale of Dustin Hoffman's, HBO Series "Luck", where Riley appeared opposite of Dennis Farina. Riley studied theater under Juilliard alumni Robyn Cohen, who directed him for the role of "Pale" from Lanford Wilson's, "Burn This". And he studied improv under Groundlings Alumni Sean Whalen. Riley most interesting performances have come thru his character work. Past work: A father and fencing master in the short film "Satisfaction". A heroin addict in the short film "Jaunt". A challenged mental patient in the feature film "Typee". Riley's latest short film "20 Questions", was shot on RED. For habit and hobby, Riley continues to be a dedicated writer and painter. He has written over 25 journals and has adapted screenplays from life. He is also planning upcoming art shows. Riley created the APRIL Walks Organization, APRILWalks.org which is a social media, business, activist platform that was inspired by TED Talks.
