Rhys is an Australian born Producer & Cinematographer based in Melbourne, Victoria. His love of story telling established its foundation after completing an eight week course for writing Sci-Fi for TV & Film with the Australian, Film, TV and Radio School. He followed through on those ambitions by completing a Bachelor in Screen Production from the University of Canberra via their then Melbourne campus in 2016. After writing and directing his Sci-Fi short film 'Headspace Inc', he produced 'The Intentions of F. Scott Fitzgerald' that went on to win multiple awards around the globe, including Australia's Academy Award accredited Flickerfest and St Kilda Film Festival where it won for best Screen Writing and Sound. For his first official cinematographer role in 2017 he took on the outdoor thriller short film 'The Immigration Game'. Following that was the bush ranger short 'Five O'Clock' that won Best Short Film at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival. Stepping into the realm of features for the first time, he took on the mantle of Producer and Director of Photography for the independent horror film 'The Faceless Man' that was selected to screen at Melbourne's Monsterfest 2019.
