Henry Alejandro Corzo Mesa was born in Bogota, Colombia. At the age of 9, he briefly made part of the cast of Pequenos Gigantes (the Colombian equivalent of the Mickey Mouse Club). He graduated from high school at the early age of 15. At the end of his teenage years he created and published two monthly magazines: "Estas" and "Somos" which were mostly directed to a young audience. He went to Universidad de Los Andes (Bogota) and graduated in Civil engineering in 1995. He moved to the US the same year to pursue a Masters Degreee in Engineering Management and graduated in 1999 from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. During his college years in the US he created a website where he published his first novela in Spanish, "Campus". It was conceived as a web-cast of monthly episodes that were relatively popular in some segments of the population in Colombia and other Latin American countries from 1997 to 1998. His website was featured in Jeff Dawson's book: Gay and Lesbians online (1997). He started working as an Scheduler / Project Controls Engineer in 1998 which was the start of successful career in Project Controls and allowed him to live in different cities over the years (Los Angeles, Long Beach, San Diego, Boise, New York, etc). In 2002 he moved in with his partner and they bought a house in Long Beach in 2005. They separated in 2006. In 2008 Henry decided to enroll at UCLA's cinematography program and after he graduated in 2010 he continued with the Directing Program at the same school. He wrote, produced and directed his first short film If It's Not Tonight at the end of 2008 and published it to the web in 2009. His coming out story has had relatively good popularity there. In 2009 he started writing his first feature film The Rebel and The Soldier. He developed a short film based on a key scene of the screenplay at the end of 2010. In 2011 he produced and directed several short films with a significant online presence (Perceptions, Proteccion, Blackout, Missing). At the end of 2011 he wrote, produced and directed his thesis film Seminarista, which premiered at the Art Theater in Long Beach and was an official selection for the 2012 Cinema Diverse Palm Springs G&L Film Festival and nominated for Best GLBT film for the 2012 Great Lakes International Film Festival.
