Morteza Najafi is an Iranian cinematographer , and the most remarkable Iranian lighting designer. Morteza Najafi started his career in 2000 with the series "Sleep and Awake" directed by Mehdi Fakhimzadeh, assistant cameraman of the decedent Rasool Ahadi. Morteza Najafi, who started his career as an assistant and gained experience along with the knowledge and science of this profession, won the Crystal Simorgh Award for best cinematographer from the 38th Fajr Film Festival for the film Toman. In the next year, he won the Crystal Simorgh for the best cinematography in the 39th Fajr Film Festival for two films, Roshan and Yado, which is a unique record in the Iranian cinema industry. Morteza Najafi has worked as a Cinema & Theater lighting designer, cinematographer in many of the most famous Iranian cinema and many short films. Morteza Najafi is the only person who does cinema and theater filming and lighting at the same time.
