Surojit Sen

Surojit Sen is an Indian writer, editor, correspondent and independent researcher on Bengali alternative and counterculture, associated with a publishing company called 'Odjoint' and Indifilm production company. He has been working with film-maker Q as a collaborate writer / researcher since 2006. Surojit was born on June 28,1961 in Sovabazar ,North kolkata. In 1970 , his family moved to chandannagar, Hooghly, west Bengal and he has lived there ever since. Surojit was drawn to student politics and was inspired by his uncle , a well-known political worker in sovabazar area. Occasionally writing regular columns in newspapers and magazines, in 1992 surojit got associated with Ruchir Joshi in the making of the film on Bauls called ' Egaromile'( Eleven miles). In 2000 , Surojit edited a special number of Dahapatra, a Bengali magazine on Dipak Majumder, an important Bengali writer, thinker,theater and counter culture activist. Since 2015 , Surojit sen is editing of Desher Agamikal, a Bengali Web-Zine .
