Guy Elhanan is a Jewish-Israeli actor and play writer, as well as a socio-cultural instructor in classes of empowerment through theatre. He plays, writes and teaches in Arabic and Hebrew, and also translates from French to Hebrew. Originally from West Jerusalem, Guy is the 9th generation of a Jerusalem native family. He holds a BA in Theatre arts and Arabic from the "Paris 8" University of Saint Denis. Also attended the scenography and acting school of Jacques Lecoq, and mime classes in Paris, France, where he lived for six years. Guy served as a Tank driver in the Israeli army, and concluded a two years and ten months duty service from the age of 18 to 21. Today, recently moved to Haifa with his wife and child, Guy practices also choir singing, performs as a social songwriter (plays guitar), does illustrations for children's books, presenting a weekly cultural radio show, and counseling high-risk youth in reaching-out projects. Guy played in several movies in main and supporting roles, such as Jessica Habie's Mars at Sunrise (2014) Elie Suleiman's "The time that remains" (2010), Ziad Doueiri's "The Attack" (2013). He played as an actor and as an author/director in theaters in Israel - Tmuna, Klipa, Hakhanut, Hakaron, and at the Holon festival of puppetry. In France - Le theatre du soleil, Theatre Confluences in Sweden - Triubunalen theatre. Guy has been teaching since 2007 in every bi-lingual school or initiative in the country. The network of Yad be Yad schools, Newe shalom-Wahat al salam mixed village and others.
