Ray Roman was born in San Diego, California in 1987. Around the age of 10 television programs such as the WWE formerly known as the World Wrestling Federation, The Tom Green Show (1999), and Jackass (2000), inspired Ray to creatively entertain his family and friends. As Ray's passion for filmmaking grew he accompanied his sister Brittney 'Lia' Roman in the studio, and on the road as she performed on the Los Angeles S.E.A.P. School Tour as an upcoming music artist. He created short-form documentaries, music videos and DVD packages for the female pop-trio Bittersweet under the direction of RK Records CEO Jay Pugh aka Grand Master Jay. Ray found himself filming backstage at the 2007 Calibash Concert at the Honda Center in Anaheim. His love to help create and showcase new music artist didn't stop there; he's also directed music videos for Abrina, and rock band Monkey's In Space. In 2013 Ray teamed up with David Kano host of The Hollywood MMA Show as a producer, videographer, and editor. He's had the opportunity to work cageside at MMA promotions such as Bellator, World Series of Fighting, and the kickboxing organization Glory. He's captured and edited interviews with mixed martial artists which include Bas Rutten, Rashad Evans, Royce Gracie, and more. Ray was nominated at the first San Diego Film Awards event. In 2016 Ray Roman and David Kano team up once again to form MMA Now TV powered by FilmOn TV Networks. MMA Now TV is a full-service mixed martial arts channel designed to bring fight fans live event coverage, talk shows, interviews, behind the scenes, and other original programming. Ray Roman is currently working on the feature documentary Concussed: The American Dream (2021) covering concussions and chronic traumatic encephalopathy in sports.
