Richard Nicole

From the first snapshots with his sisters Pentax 35mm camera at 12, Richard Nicole has been creating images. He has been a professional photographer, shooting some of the most provocative still photography. As he progressed, he began to write short stories, poetry and stage plays. With his first film production of "Isis" in 2006, shot with a budget he describes as "wing and a prayer", he moved on to write and produce his first full length feature film "in The Corner". With "In The Corner" he wanted to be hands on, keeping true to his vision of the film as a narrative on the potential effects of child sexual abuse, as seen through the eyes of our heroine/protagonist. The film evolved from a one act stage play Richard had written. Richard believes that the best of any creative medium is not only to tell a story, but to provoke and inspire engagement with the viewer or observer.
