Mark was born, raised, and educated in England by a fun and movie-loving family. The nickname "Jacko" soon stuck, just like his father and grandfather before. Now a proud father himself, to son Dodger (as in Artful), Jacko has a lot more than just bedtime stories to tell. At a very early age, Jacko began traveling the world competing and training to become a champion martial artist and award-winning creative director. Once both these goals were achieved, and after leaving dear old Blighty with a full head of hair at 21, Jacko moved to the States and began his inevitable journey into the world of movie-making. Jacko now spends his days marrying his myriad crazy experiences (including years as a stunt-man, where he was affectionately known as "Fatt Damon") with his eye for imagery and love of storytelling. As not just writer and director, but also editor and actor, Jacko has created short films, sketches, documentaries, music videos, and commercials, been on stage with his first play, "Si Sickness", premiered his very first feature film, the gangster-comedy-caper, "Geezas", at the 2012 Hollywood Film Festival, and won the award for Best Actor at the 2013 British Independent Film Festival. Inspired by Akira Kurosawa, Edgar Wright, David Fincher and Hitchcock, Jacko's set his sights on becoming a complete filmmaker with a unique vision and cheeky approach.
