Johnson Nguyen was born Johnson Thanh Nguyen on October 3rd, 1980 in Houston, Texas. He grew up in Houston until he finished his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and then moved to Seattle, Washington. While he continued his education at University of Washington he completed a couple of acting courses. Soon after, he auditioned and landed a few small roles in independent films and local commercials. Using his martial arts experience in Vovinam (Vietnamese Style), ASK (American Style Karate) and Capoeira (Brazilian Style), Johnson took on physical acting and stunt work in films. He also worked closely with Annika Anderson and Ian Kawabata in the electronic music stage show Hardcore Saves the World (2007 - 2010), where Johnson performed live choreographed fight scenes in full body mascot costumes. Hardcore Saves the World toured in Miami, Florida and all around the Seattle area. Johnson moved back to Houston, Texas in 2011 and continues to enjoy acting in films.
