Chris was born in 1969 to an all Scottish ancestry in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. His father was a military man and musician WHO made the billboard top 20 in 1954 going to #4 with the song "Don't judge a book (by looking at its cover)" with a band called "The Jeckles and Hydes". Chris has one older brother, and one older sister. The family moved several times across Canada with stops in New Brunswick, Quebec, Alberta, and Saskatchewan until they finally settled in British Columbia. In 1983 Chris found a love of acting through his high school drama class. Accolades followed in 1987 when he won the Best Actor award at the North Peace Regional Festival of the Arts. He would end his 8-year stay with the Stage North Theatre Company (in Fort St. John, B.C.) by becoming the youngest ever member of the Board of Directors for his final season in 1990/1991. He moved from small town rural B.C. to Vancouver after his mother's passing and attended the first ever full time 1-year acting program at the Vancouver Film School. After 4 years in the Vancouver Film industry Chris left Vancouver to travel Canada with his now ex-wife. This decision would take the couple on a journey that saw them move 15 times over 10 years, to 7 different cities in 4 different Provinces/Territories, in Canada. While traveling Canada Chris was responsible for the initiation of 2 theatre companies before arriving in Ottawa, Ontario where he was called upon by a friend to join a short film and lend his expertise. It was on this set where he made connections that soon led to his involvement with a local radio program "Moving Images" as technical producer and co-host. One day while recording the show it was suggested that if he was so wise about film sets: perhaps he should direct? In 2005, his hiatus from film officially over, Chris began making his first production "UPGRADED" with Studio"3" production and his own company Lucid Films. This journey found him quickly picking up new skills as he personally had a hand in each and every step of the process. He can now credit himself as an award winning Actor, accomplished Director, experienced scriptwriter, digital editor (Audio and Video) and Producer. Chris' production company (now re-branded Myth Peddlers Media [Vancouver]) has edited several productions for other media companies and has refocused to work with larger businesses to bring Myth Peddlers Media to life.
