Angela Renee' Pritchett was born in Charlottesville, Va. Her mother, Melisa Pritchett is a Nurse and school teacher, and her father, Barry Pritchett is a textile engineer and designer. She started off very young in theater attending Stony Point Elementary school, which at the time performed one Shakespeare play a year. She then went on to pursue theater and music in middle and high school. At the age of fifteen her family moved to Asheboro, North Carolina, where Angela continued to stay very active in Theater and Music. She attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro for Music Education; she graduated in 2006 and then went back to UNCG for her masters in Ethnomusicology and Liberal Studies and graduated in 2012. During her time at UNCG she was very active in the Independent film community and has also written and directed many short films (a few with her good friend Mariah Johnson.) Her short films have won her awards such as Best Director (Killride Film Festival) And Best Kills (ConCarolinas Film Festival.)
