Sara Neitzert

Sara Neitzert was born in Oceanside, New York, the first child of an architect father and a social worker mother. As a child she took acting lessons from ages 7 to 12, and thought that she would grow up to be an actress. As a teenager Sara joined drama club and art club and was a thespian at Oceanside High School. She spent most of her time backstage working with the backstage crew or as stage manager. All through this time Sara had a video camera with her everywhere she went. She filmed everything. At age 18 she bought her first Mac and learned the joys of editing. This is when she realized she wanted to make films, not act in them. She also realized she wasn't a very good actress. Sara went off to southern California for school where she met her husband, director Andy Neitzert. Since then the two have worked on many film projects together. They have one daughter, Lilly Belle, born in January of 2010.
