Matthew Helderman founded the film + television production company Buffalo 8 in 2010, while an undergraduate student at the age of 21 and continues to lead the firm as CEO today. Over the past 10 years Buffalo 8 has touted premieres at the Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, and Berlin Film Festival and recently produced the Netflix original film "Rodney King" directed by legendary Academy Award winning director Spike Lee while the Buffalo 8 Post-Production division has overseen overseen projects ranging from Blumhouse, Robert Rodriguez's El Rey Network, and Emmett Furla Films. Helderman further co-founded the media financing firm BondIt Media Capital in 2013 and continues to lead the firm as CEO today. Helderman lead the fundraising efforts of $30M of capital in the partial sale of BondIt to Accord Financial (a 30-year old publicly traded non-bank finanicer) and the arrangement of the corporate credit facility with hedge fund Revere Capital Over the past 7 years BondIt has fully or partially financing over 300 feature film and television projects including the 2018 Academy Award nominated film "Loving Vincent", the 2019 Roland Emmerich directed "Midway", the cult hit "The Invitation", the James Franco starring "King Cobra", the Arnold Schwarzenegger starring "Aftermath" , the Bruce Willis starring "Trauma Center", the Kevin James starring "Becky", and the 2016 Sundance hit "Little Men" starring Greg Kinnear. Under Helderman's leadership BondIt has funded $300M+ of content budgets generating over $1B of worldwide revenues and lead the acquisition of ABS Entertainment Payroll (a 30 year old entertainment payroll firm).
