Eva Sayre is the Business Director and Executive Producer of Veritas Films since its inception in 2008, overseeing all strategic and financial affairs of the company. Her film Teta, Alf Marra (Grandma, a Thousand Times) screened to packed houses at over 55 cities worldwide, scooping up a staggering six major Audience awards and Best Film awards in London, Mumbai, Mexico City, Qatar, and Syria. With glowing reviews from top global press (including a "New York Times critics pick") and theatrical runs in LA and NYC, it brought unprecedented mainstream exposure to the Arab documentary industry in 2011. With this project, Sayre secured the broadest distribution ever achieved by a documentary produced in the Arab world and made history by completing the first Academy Awards qualification campaign for a film out of the United Arab Emirates. Eva's second feature-length film Champ of the Camp is due for completion at the end of 2012. This project is another major landmark in the Arab film industry: the first film ever to secure approvals to film in the labor camps. It will offer the world an unprecedented look into the lives of the millions of Indian and Pakistani laborers behind the scenes of Dubai, through the unique perspective of a singing competition which gives the men a chance to pursue their dreams of Bollywood glory amidst a life of manual labor. Eva is an American national holding two magna cum laude degrees from Duke University. She has over a decade of experience in corporate strategic analysis and management across North America, Europe, and the GCC. She formerly worked in a senior advisory capacity at entities as diverse as the Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council, Dubai Holding, and The Parthenon Group strategic consultancy, and has been honored to receive several "Employee of the Year" designations in her various positions.
