Desmond Grundy plays a songbook of radio rarities that draws on an extensive catalogue of memorable, rock-inflected music from the '60s, '70s and '80s plus his own originals. He delivers a show that appeals to quiet listeners and avid rockers alike. Grundy has an ever-growing local and international fan base to his credit and a steady flow of paid downloads and streams of his music. He has recorded three full-length albums between his own studio and Grant Avenue Studio in Hamilton (U2, Brian Eno). Grundy has worked as an actor in commercial music videos (Our Lady Peace). He's had acting parts in TV shows, web ads and print marketing campaigns. He also contributes his time as a volunteer to various local arts and activist communities. A typical evening with Desmond Grundy will include music from artists such as Patti Smith, Bob Dylan, Velvet Underground, Dandy Warhols, Lou Reed, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Iggy Pop, Kinks, Travelling Wilburys, Ian Tyson, Woody Guthrie, Pagliaro, and other. Grundy plays periodically throughout the Golden Horseshoe at venues including Rebels Rock, Rust City Brewery, The George Hamilton, Philthy McNasty's, The Hard Luck Bar, Rancho Relaxo, and the Blue Moon. Less recently he could be found playing to club and festival audiences north of Toronto and before that, touring the dance halls and nightclubs of southern Ontario.
