Imanol Yepez-Frias

Imanol Yepez-Frias began acting in musical theatre at age 11, when auditioning for a school production of Aladdin. Quickly bitten by the acting bug, Imanol began working closely with the State Theatre of North Carolina in Flat Rock, NC. Here he learned of different acting schools of thought that helped him in his process as an actor. He got his first role in the feature film The Hunger Games (2012) after standing in a line to be an extra. This on set experience showed him the behind the scenes of the movie industry and all the creativity and team work it took to create movie of such grand scale. After his experience with The Hunger Games (2012), Imanol returned to then hometown Asheville, NC to continue acting in both musicals and plays. Imanol's focus drifted from working in front of the camera to behind, ultimately deciding to double major in Cinema & Television Arts and Political Science at Elon University for his undergraduate. Here he continued working on his directing and acting in different film projects. While receiving his undergraduate degree, Imanol participated in acapella, club soccer, the Spanish center & admissions as a tour guide. His sophomore summer, he worked directly with Two-Time Oscar Nominated Sound Designer Martin Hernandez, to help bring some shows to life at Netflix (Mexico City). After working in post-production for a few shows, Imanol returned to school to finish his degree. Upon graduating in 2021, Imanol moved to New York City to pursue his passions while holding a job in television marketing.
