David Kenneth Sommerville was raised by a single parent father in Annapolis, Maryland. Always interested in acting, David avidly pursued a performing career. He auditioned for several local acting jobs in the Washington, DC/Baltimore metro area and was cast in several projects including, Historic Annapolis Foundation's regional theater tour of award-winning play, "Project Run-A-Way," which led to the "Freedom Bound" exhibition at "Historic Annapolis Museum". One of David's career highlights was portraying Lee Boyd Malvo in MSNBC's TV movie "I Married the Beltway Sniper". Since then, he's done commercials and print ads for BET Networks, Lexus, etc. Attracted to inspired works, David secured a lead role in the off-Broadway production "Mr. President: Courage at Midnight", which premiered at the Symphony Space in New York. His desire to continue his theatrical training led him to study scene study and character analysis with respected acting coach, Melvin Williams. Under Theater For A New Generation (TFANG), David's stage performances include, "The Lottery"; "The Colored Museum"; "Casablanca"; "Love is Forever"; "Homeward Bound" and "Julius Caesar". Not content to wait for his ship to come in but to swim out and meet it, David took on the role of producer and writer in 2014 with Disillusion. Later, He had his directorial debut in 2016 short film Indoctrination, which David created a Go Fund Me campaign and successfully raised over $5,000 that partially funded the film.
