Michael H Swerdloff was born in Newark, NJ. Michael has always had an interest in the relationship between talent and audience, whether the audience was a camera, a microphone or live. This first was expressed as Disc Jockey and Program Director for a college radio station WCCM. During this time he was offered an opportunity for what was then a groundbreaking production; a weekly comedy show on Suburban Cablevision's local access channel. He became a staff writer and actor for several episodes of the show It's Not The Bob Sanger Show. He followed this with a two-year stint a Disc Jockey on WGLS. He was simultaneously a club DJ at several large NJ, NYC and Philadelphia clubs and was growing a successful mobile DJ Company, which was a brand new form of entertainment at the time. He studied Radio, TV and Film at Rowan College (formerly Glassboro State College). He has studied acting with Nell Weatherwax including workshops in Body Acting, Silent Acting, Improvisation and Playback Theatre. This was followed by classes at The University of Wisconsin. His interest in Playback Theatre continued to grow, when he had the opportunity to join Wisconsin Playback Theatre in Madison, WI he jumped at the chance. He loved the energy and audience response to such intense, community-building performances and the challenges in pulling off a group production facilitated by an audience member's personal experience shared in front of the group through The Company's improvisation. In the summer of 2010, Michael played Bob Schecklander in the independent film released in March of 2011 Pawns. Produced and Directed by Roy Schwartz. He has been the talent for Voice-Overs, Promotional Videos, Host, Interviewer and MC for many events. Co-Producer and Host for a short documentary with a projected release of Fall 2011. As of 2011 he has returned to performing as a full-time Wedding and Party Disc Jockey in New Jersey and New York while working on his third unpublished novel.
