Kriya is a proud South African and isn't afraid to show it. She is best known for hosting the Out to Lunch on Tuks Fm 107.2, a community radio station based in Pretoria as well as Craz-E the largest youth based television program in South Africa based on ETV Currently having completed a Bachelor of Information Science majoring in Information Science and Multimedia, Kriya shows that it is possible to have beauty and brains. She started acting at an early age, participating in theatre productions from a primary school level all the way through to high school and finally joining the Pretoria Youth Theatre in 2005. After this her love for theatre grew and she took a keen interest in behind the scenes production. In 2006 she directed her first play and achieved top accolades for it including best sound and direction. Even though Kriya excelled in the cultural side of things she developed a skill for sports as well, achieving Provincial and National Colours for Waterpolo. In 2007 at the age of 17 Kriya became the youngest member to join the most listened to campus radio station, Tuks Fm, now the only campus radio station to be classified as a community station. Through this Kriya has hosted numerous music events, sharing the stage with international artists such as Sarah Bettens of K's choice and local acts such as GoldFish, Prime Circle and Jozi just to name a few. In 2008 Kriya participated in the Eastern Mosaic presenter search, making it to the Top 60 In the summer of 2009 Kriya successfully completed the summer print ad campaign for Coca-Cola South Africa as well as being selected as one of the semifinalists in the DFL IPL Miss Bollywood South Africa competition. From Radio Kriya moved to the screens in 2009 and become part of the ETV family Presenting Craz-E, Sistahood and Shiz Niz. From TV Kriya has taken a leap into the silver screen where she featured in the South African feature film "The Race-ist" where she takes the role of the Race commentator alongside the likes of Craig Palm, Ian Roberts, DJ Fresh and Jonathan Pienaar. 2010 brought the biggest sports event in the world to South Africa and Kriya was lucky enough to be selected to assist the event as a FIFA volunteer in the media functional area based at Loftus Pretoria. February 2011 saw Kriya selected by FHM men's magazine as one of the influential women in the media industry for 2011 and featured in the VIP List of 2011. Kriya is an ambitious young lady that enjoys nothing more than entertaining people. She matriculated from Pretoria high school for Girls in 2006 at the young age of 17 and since then has been set to take over the world.
