Karina Banno is an Australian actress with numerous television and film credits to her name. Karina most recently starred as 'Jules' in the 2022 Australian ABC series Barons. In 2021 she was a lead in the Lifetime/A&E's The Ruby Landry Saga as 'Gisselle'. Karina has appeared on the Netflix comedy series The Letdown and the FX Network/Fox Showcase series Mr. Inbetween. She was also seen in the Australian miniseries Friday On My Mind for the ABC, in the Sony/Playmaker Media drama Reckoning guest starring opposite Sam Trammell and in the dark comedy short film Second Best, 'The Dendy Award for Best Live Action Short Film' at the 2018 Sydney Film Festival. Karina will soon be seen in the lead role of Tahnee Box in the Seven Network's comedy series Fam Time. Karina's writing and directing work includes The Unfortunate Files ('Best Web Series' at the 2014 Port Stephens Film Festival), September, (co-directed with Tara O'Connell, 'Best Short' & 'People's Choice' at the 2014 Martini Awards), In The Red (selected as part of Cinema Australia's 'Sunday Shorts' Program in 2018), and most recently her short @BladeRoller: Case Unsolved (co-directed with Raechelle Banno) which was accepted into the Sydney Underground Film Festival's 'Take 48' 2020 lineup. In 2020 Karina was also on one of only eight teams selected as finalists for AACTA x Monster Pictures Isolation independent film development initiative for their project BLACKHEATH.
