Gary ' WiGz ' Stennett was born in Hackney East London and is an illustrator /Photographer and independent filmmaker .In 2009 WiGz made his leap into filmmaking. His first project ' A Brand New U' was made as a submission for the virgin media shorts competition . ' I shot Brand New U on a Sony Z1 , I was quite impressed with that camera at the time.'WiGz states that Indy filmmaking only exists today because of one thing ; ' The Canon 5D MKII was the game changer , a digital renaissance , allowing Indy filmmakers to create film like imagery at a fraction of the price, this in MY opinion was the beginning of DSLR filmmaking ! 'His most recent short film ' Belinda's Request ' (2020) was inspired by actual events . ' The issue of abuse is such a sad and controversial reality for so many people, most of whom suffer in silence, I wanted to put a spin on that , and have some vengeance replace that silence !!"
