Alex L. Newman

A filmmaker from small town North Carolina that's relocated to Los Angeles. He completed his MFA from Loyola-Marymount University in Film Production. Before attending LMU, he worked as an intern and as a freelance cinematographer in Columbus, Ohio where he was an assistant editor and dialogue editor for Framelines, an award winning local PBS show. He got personal instruction under Cinematographer Scott Spears while working at Production Partners Media. While still in school, Alex managed to get a position on the TV show Gray's Anatomy as a camera PA and worked under Herb Davis. He worked with Tunnel Post to help create a database for Disney and does local commercial work and filming for the local theater troupes. He continues to write, direct, shoot, and edit short films.
