Originally from Stockport, Cheshire, Mark began his professional career as a juvenile lead in Oliver,The sound of Music,Tommy,Macbeth on the Manchester theatre scene. At 15 he appeared alongside Moira Shearer (red shoes) and Christopher Gable in A Simple man,directed by Gilliam Lynne for the BBC.He made his television debut as a voice over in First post(3 series) for Granada Tv whilst training at Manchester school of Drama,later going on to train at The Artists theatre school,The Actors class and Actors center,London where he has happily lived for many years. Landmark theatre productions include The pet shop boys musical,Closer to heaven,which he recorded the original cast album and Fame both in the west end. National no 1 tours of west side story and Dr Doolittle soon followed as did engagements worldwide as a performer.Mark considers his early days in rep with the Library theatre company, Manchester his core training but believes his craft to be a working progress and is thriving as an Actor with London's top directors and coaches
