Prakash Thapa (18 June 1930 - 26 May 2004) was a prominent director of Nepali Film Industy. Started his career in Hindi films, He was brought to Nepali Film Industry by Yadav Kharel. He made his first film Man Ko Bandh for Royal Nepal Film Corporation in 1973 A.D. His second film Sindoor was first commercially successful movie which ran for 25 weeks.
