Clayton Miller was born and raised in the small town of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. His parents, Amy and Larry Miller, encouraged him to write throughout his formative years. This early introduction to story craft led to Clayton attending the prestigious J. William Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Arkansas as an English major. It was while raising his only child, Lucy, that Clayton-always an avid cinephile-became fascinated with filmmaking. He partnered with his longtime friend, Robert Kirkpatrick, to create the film production company Saxxon Films. Clayton played the lead role in one short film under the Saxxon Films banner (the revenge thriller Ruthless) and acted as writer/director on another (the psychological horror film Toybox). Both Toybox and Ruthless were accepted to several national film festivals. Clayton Miller's latest project is the feature length film Shady White, where he is acting as executive producer as well as playing the titular role. That film is being globally distributed by the company Indie Rights Movies.
