Nadia Bedzhanova was born in Moscow, Russia. She studied journalism in Lomonosov Moscow State University in Russia, and film directing at School of Visual Arts in New York City. She moved to the US in 2011 for film and video directing. She wrote and directed a film "Adrift" that opened Teen Tales program at Vancouver International Film Festival 2013. Her film "Headlong" (2014) is the winner of numerous LGBT festivals around the world including North America, UK, Russia and Japan. Shot on locations of USA, Russia and Europe, her films reveal a story from a universal level ("Things I Like About You"). Nadia Bedzhanova premiered her debut feature film "Beware of Dog" at Slamdance Film Festival 2020.
