Joe Bou Eid

Born in the south of Lebanon in 1983, Joe Bou Eid has lived the transition between an extensive war and a hidden peace, in a country where Cinema is a recreation of the reality of every day. Having a fertile imagination and willpower, he started working on his first feature film, which led him to talk with a lot of love and mockery about his vulnerable country, about the futile society that he lives in, about the story of his own parents... For him, shooting a movie, is like dealing with emotions... and emotions can't be created by chance; they should be lived and since lived, emotions are just sincere... He decided to mess with his own shredded memory to express a personal way of filmmaking. Having this big passion for cinema, He proved to the Lebanese public his engagement and his sensibility to discover the real shades of art expressions... Strong eye for detail, perfectionist, innovative, he graces the eyes of his spectators with his decorative drive, his bold use of rich color, his esthetics and especially his artistic direction.
