Leah Lawrence is a member of SAG-AFTRA. MFA from Columbia University, BA from Colorado College. Leah was born in New York City. Off-Broadway: Please Stop Talking, Cherry Lane Theater, NYC. Her music albums are on Itunes, Amazon, Spotify: "Folk by Foulke, Volume 1" and "Everywhere to Go: Folk by Foulke, Volume 2." Leah has performed and composed original music for Genet's The Maids at La MaMa Theatre, Ophelia's songs in John Gould Rubin's production of Hamlet, and written an original childrens' musical The Jungle Lion for Sleepy Lion Theater Company. Leah has been fortunate to sing and collaborate with many talented musicians including Rufus Wainwright and Julia Cho (Playwright of Durango). Leah has trained and been directed by renowned directors and companies: Andrei Serban, Anne Bogart, Estelle Parsons, Moscow Arts Center, Shakespeare & Company, and the Labyrinth Theater Company. She has trained her voice under the guidance of master teacher Kristin Linklater. Singing and vocal commercial instruction: Pam Phillips, Joan Bogden. Movement techniques include: Viewpoints, Elizabethan Pavon, Stage Combat, Sword fighting, Commedia dell' Arte, Pilates, Allyn Wayne, bio-mechanics, and improvisational dance. Leah is a certified Yoga instructor and registered with Yoga Alliance. She has choreographed for musicals and Shakespeare performances. She is a certified Synapsing teacher.
