Markus Kublin began performing stand-up in Boston, and then moved to Las Vegas, where he played roles in several long-running shows, including a wizard in Caesar's Magical Empire, a Klingon in Star Trek: The Experience, and King Arthur at the Excalibur. Between the robes, leggings and tights, he literally spent years being paid not to wear pants. Markus has written TV comedy material for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Game Show Network, and the notorious Chabad Telethon, and appeared on Invasion of the Hidden Cameras on FOX as well as Vegas Weddings Unveiled on GSN. He still loves writing, because he knows words he hasn't even used yet. Markus writes for the award-winning Top Story! Weekly at the IO-West theater in Hollywood, and David Feldman's Comedy Podcast on Pacifica Radio, heard locally in L.A. on KPFK-FM. Markus also appeared in the 2011 independent feature film, The Heart That Sings, taking a serious role of a father of a war-torn family. You may have seen its premiere screenings of the dramatic tear-jerker in Los Angeles or New York, if you are a woman.
