Paquita "PQ" Hughes, dual-branch military veteran (Army/Navy), works as an Independent Producer (Owner of Rock Violet Motion) and Location Manager in Los Angeles, CA. She recently created, developed and executive produced a comedy mini web-series with the actress who inspired the idea, Jessica Cymone, called, "#IMBAE", centering on the concept of self-love personified, after a successful film festival run of her company's award winning short film, "Jacks" a post-depression era period piece, she Executive Produced with her business partner, Chloe Mondesir, who wrote, directed and starred the film alongside her daughter, up and coming star, Nylah Mondesir, who played the lead. Paquita is an honors graduate of New York Film Academy and Los Angeles Film School. Her vast portfolio of work includes festival winners and festival selections for dramatic shorts such as "Taboo", for the San Diego Black Film Festival, "The Rat" and also, "Breaking The Silence", for the GI Film Festival in Washington D.C. With over 100 productions under her belt, she was selected and trained by the Hollywood Teamsters Local 399 union to become a Location Manager, eventually becoming a member of LMGI (Location Managers Guild International) with work on shows such as Marvel Runaways, NCIS: Los Angeles, Hulu's Little Fires Everywhere and most recently, HBO's Perry Mason to add to her resume. She has been featured on NPR and ABC news to discuss her projects, career and military heritage. Paquita was also a guest on Kevin Smith's podcast, "Film School Fridays", and is published in a photo book titled, "Veteran Vision Project" profiling veterans, their struggles, families, commitment and service. Paquita was raised in Columbus, MS and born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. She has one daughter, Penelope Rose Bragg, born in August 2016.
