Ariel Shaban lives in Prishtina, Kosovo. He began with script writing and directing in 2007, writing and shooting his first two short documentary films, followed by his first short award winning film "The Wedding Tape" in 2011. The Wedding Tape has been credited along with other contemporary Balkans films by the New York Times as a part of the New Balkans Film Wave, and has won several international film awards. He has also finalized two other shorts in 2013, namely "Not a Time for Guitar" a Kosovar-German co-production, as well as "The Tourist" supported by the Sarajevo Film Festival, the latter a part of the A Quintet feature omnibus. At present, he is preparing his first feature film.
