Biography Jacqueline "Jaxx" Nassar is an emerging singer, songwriter, and artist who grew up in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Her music career began at the age of seven, when she learned to play the drums. By eight years old, she had picked up the guitar and it is now her main instrument, although somewhere in between she managed to learn to play bass and keyboard. Jaxx has proven to be very versatile, playing original rock songs as well as just about anything you could think to ask her to play. She graduated from the Arts and Education Program at the Delta Blues Museum in 2000 as Most Outstanding Student. While with the band "Blues Prodigy", she won the W.C. Handy Kids Foundation Award. Jaxx was chosen to receive first Robert Johnson Award for Youth Excellence which was presented to her by Morgan Freeman and Steve Johnson (The famed Robert Johnson's grandson). She subsequently became a permanent fixture at 'Ground Zero' Blues Club in Clarksdale MS., where she learned her craft from the best of Blues legends, and she is currently a featured artist on "Blues Radio".. In an article in the Commercial Appeal about 'Jaxx' being the spokesperson for the Guns for Guitars Program she was described as a "pint sized" Stevie Ray Vaughn. She has opened for Blues great B.B. King, country artists Rebecca Lynn Howard, and Phil Vassar. She has also played and written with Steve Azar and jammed with Paul Simon.She was honored to be the youngest blues artist cast by Sharon McConnell to be in bronze. She has said, in a quote by Bob Marley, "Music will never turn its back on you", and that's one of the reasons she is so focused on writing, playing, and singing. Eventually diversifying from the Blues into her love for Rock and Roll, Jaxx's lyrics speak of things she has experienced in her own life. She is honored to have her music featured on both TV an Film......"Window" one of her early songs was featured on Lonelygirl15 "TV" "House Arrest" and "If I Could Fly" was part of the Feature Film "Remember the Daze" (2007)_qv. She appeared on the Nick Simmons Family Jewels Show which featured her music, and more recently "Growing up Hip Hop" with Music Mogul Damon Dash and Boogie Dash airing 2016. Jaxx is known to mesmerize an audience with her performances whether they are acoustic or with her band.
