Andy Papadimitriou has been creating stories from his childhood. The Scriptwriters Guild of Greece has awarded his scripts. His short films Ruling Class (2011), Reciprocation (2012) and Grey Route (2012) have participated in various international festivals and the short film Unchildishness (2016) has been awarded in Cyprus and United Kingdom. In theater, the summer of 2017, he directed the tragedy Oedipus the King by Sophocles at the International Festival of Ancient Greek Drama in Cyprus, and it became one of the most successful productions in the history of the festival. Andy P., of Pontic Greek descent, was born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1984. He grew up in Messologhi, a small, historic town in the west of the country. He studied at a University of Wales affiliated college in Athens, earning a BSc in Business Administration and then he moved in Cardiff, Wales, earning an MBA in Marketing. At the age of 25, he commenced studies in directing at Hellenic Cinema & Television School Stavrakos (HCTSS) in Athens. He is a member of Directors-Producers Guild of Greek Cinema, Directors Guild of Cyprus and Cyprus Centre of the International Theatre Institute (CCOITI).
