Jimmy Reece has been performing since the 1st grade in elementary school at Portlock Elementary in Chesapeake, VA. Cast as an elf in the school Christmas play, once he took the stage and looked out in the audience, it was all over. "This is very good, he thought"; and has been performing ever since. After more school plays, drama clubs, and citywide improv groups, he furthered his study at Norfolk's Old Dominion University under the late, great Paul Dicklin. From there he considered his path would be in the stand-up comedy world. It was for a time, but the prospect of living from city-to-city changed his mind, and he went into the "real job" phase. Entering into the real estate business in 1989, he branched out from homes sales, to land acquisition, new construction, and development. While growing that business, he was asked periodically to perform as EmCee for fundraisers, do corporate events (mostly comedic), and some TV commercials. It wasn't until 2010 when a competing real estate colleague asked if the local university (Regent) could use a furnished model home at a new homes site he was a partner in, to shoot a student film. He interviewed the director and crew of the student film and gave permission with one caveat...to have a small part in the film. The director answered; "yes sir...we need an old guy in the film anyway". Crushed he was considered "old", he soldiered on and while on-set doing his small role, he was hooked all over again. After that first short, he was called back for others, and next thing you know, invited to audition for a meaty role as a psychologist (he got the part) in a romantic comedy feature film "Unavailable". Since then, he has been either an actor, producer, or contributor in a couple dozen projects, in shorts, commercials, feature films, and TV episodes.
