Michael Taft was born in Anchorage, Alaska at Elmendorf Air Force Base. His father was drafted and sent to Alaska for training. His mother moved there to be with his father, so Michael was born in Alaska! At age 2, his parents moved back to Battle Creek, Michigan where Michael spent his entire public school years. He graduated with highest honors in 1988 from Lakeview High School. Michael has attended several different colleges, including Fort Wayne Bible College/Summit Christian College, Kellogg Community College (Associate in General Studies), GMI Engineering & Management Institute, University of Phoenix Online (B.S. in Information Technology) and Argosy University Online (MBA in Finance). Michael started a production company with business partner Daniel Spencer doing wedding videography, but was not profitable. Michael studied with Vin Morreale, Jr. in his Burnin' Up the Stage acting workshops and Chris Anger of the Louisville Improvisors in improv workshops. Michael was a founding member and actor in the improvisational acting group, Prime Time Players. He was involved as an extra in Tim Kirkman's film "2nd Serve" (2012), Monterey Media's film "Runoff" (2014) and City on a Hill's films "Acts of God" (2013) and "The Song" (2014). His favorite moments on set were meeting Kevin Sussman (2nd Serve) and Joanne Kelly (Runoff). Michael then focused on his Business Intelligence career, traveling to Princeton, Hoboken, New York City, Tulsa, San Francisco, Boston, Seattle, and Raleigh. He continued studying improv and acting after work hours, attending classes in New York (AND Theatre Company), Tulsa (Comedy Parlor), San Francisco (Leela Improv), Improv Boston, Comedy Sports Seattle, and ComedyWorx (Raleigh).
