Shane O'Meara came to prominence playing troubled Scots schoolboy Connor Mulgrew, at odds with his alcoholic mother, in the long running television series 'Waterloo Road' though he was not Scottish and rather too old for school having been born in Ireland on April 26 1992 and having two brothers Allen and Ryan and a sister Sionainn. When Shane was seven the family did move to Livingstone, Scotland where he went to school and from there he went on to study High Drama and Acting at Edinburgh Telford College and Dundee College, graduating in 2011. Other than a role in the short film 'Weaverfish', made in Fife, 'Waterloo Road' was his first significant part and in 2015 he joined the cast of Midlands-based soap 'Doctors', reverting perfectly back to his native Irish accent. Shane is 5'11"
