Blake Matthew Moore was born on February 1, 1985 in Tarzana, California, and is the youngest of seven children. He is the son of Karen Moore and Joe (Jose) Ramirez. His father, born in Los Angeles, CA, is a first generation Mexican American. While growing up, Blake started playing football at the age of seven and played for a total of 13 years. During his high school years, Blake developed a desire to join the military and even applied to the United States Naval Academy. He wasn't accepted and ended up working retail after graduation, until he was accepted to the Academy on his second attempt two years later. In 2005 he attended the Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS) in Newport, RI for one year, and then attended the Naval Academy until 2008, when he left. He returned to retail for another two years before he decided to enlist in the Army Reserves. He completed basic training at Fort Jackson, SC and then completed Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Leonardwood, MO. Immediately following AIT Blake enrolled at Utah State University and joined their ROTC program while pursuing a degree in Physics. In 2013 Blake commissioned as an Infantry Officer and was then stationed at Fort Benning, GA where he completed: the Infantry Basic Officer Leader Course, Ranger School, Airborne School, and Infantry Mortar Leader Course. He was then stationed at Fort Bragg, NC and served 15 months as a Platoon Leader in 2-325 Airborne Infantry Regiment. While there he completed Jumpmaster School and the French Jungle Warfare School in Libreville, Gabon. He also completed the Army Mountain Warfare School in Jericho, VT. Shortly after being promoted to Captain Blake returned to Fort Benning where he decided to end his 13 years of service and pursue a career in acting. Blake is also avid about bodybuilding and in his free time enjoys skydiving.
