Miss Oliver successfully completed her studies receiving a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance. Recently, she's decided on enhancing her presence at home. Opal is an unbelievably talented and gorgeous young lady. She sings, models, dances, acts, and writes her own songs. She has appeared in several episodes of Detroit 187 and the film KHU, Act 2 Ancient Evenings, directed by Matthew Barney and Jonathan Bepler. Jill has also graced runway as a model, displaying her beauty in countless fashion shows such as Detroit Fashion Week and Imagine Fashion Show. She has been featured in HBO's Hung film. Jill has appeared in the film Beneeth and My Step Kids, directed by Sean Brown. From Detroit to London, England, and Italy including featured performances all over the United States, encompassing Europe and the Metropolitan area of Detroit, Michigan, Jill has the whole package. Jill Opal represented the United States and was accepted in the International Lyric Academy of Rome & Viterbo, Italy. An alumni member of the Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit, she and her colleagues were selected to perform as the U.S. Representative to the World Festival of Children's Theatre in London, England and Copenhagen, Denmark. Jill Opal has been featured in the Detroit News "Go! Your Weekend Guide" performing at the Detroit Mini Music Festival with Chris Worthy, Chris Dammorrow, Derrick Thompson, Malik Alston and many other performing artists at the Virgil H. Carr Cultural Arts Center. Jill has performed at the LockerRoom Lounge in Detroit as a guest singer & met Bettye LaVette. Miss Jill Opal has performed in the jazz opera production, "Porgy and Bess" for the Opera Grand Rapids at the DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Miss Oliver has performed as a concert soloist for the "25th Annual Festival of Trees: A Benefit for Children's Hospital of Michigan" held at the Allen Park Municipal Auditorium in Allen Park, Michigan. She has performed in such venues as of the State Theater, Baker's Keyboard Lounge, Royal Oak Emagine Theater, TV Lounge, Memphis Blues Smoke, Black Finn Restaurant & Saloon, the Gem Theatre, Locker Room Lounge, The Roostertail, Virgil H. Carr Cultural Arts Center, The Fox, Carnegie Hall in New York City, and the Detroit Golf Club. Jill has performed at Comerica Park and has been a final contestant in the Detroit Stars Singing Competition for radio stations 105.9 FM and 102.7 FM. Last year, she has performed her original music/songs from her album titled, "Fantasies," at this year's the Detroit Mini Music Festival 2012. Jill was chosen as one of the four vocalists to perform in a Tribute Concert to Whitney Houston for the Sparkle Premiere Red Carpet Party 2012 held at the Royal Oak Emagine Theater. Jill's singles Bad Vibes & You Got Me from her Beautiful Visions album were featured on Detroit's Hip Hop & R&B Radio Station 107.5FM. Jill has sung the Black Anthem and the American Anthems for the Montford Point Detachment Marine Corps. Miss Oliver has also sung the National Anthem for the University of Phoenix Metro Campus Commencement Graduation Ceremony held at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan. She has performed in the Hot Summer Nights Music Festival and has performed on the Detroit Princess Ship in Detroit, Michigan. Her energies are endless and her talents endure, Jill's first album is titled "Fantasies", a blend of Pop/Techno/House Party Music. Her second/sophomore album is titled "Jazzy Nights" & her third album "Beautiful Visions."
