Joana Nin

Director and producer, Joana Nin has been working in the audiovisual market for 20 years. In 2021 she is releasing her second feature, Proibido Nascer no Paraíso, on childbirth and the right to choose women, a documentary set in Fernando de Noronha-PE. Her first feature, Cativas - Presas pelo Coração, a co-production with GNT, was released in movie theaters in 2015 after receiving an honorable mention from the 2013 Rio Festival jury and participating in international events. She started her career in cinema in 2005 with the short film Visita Íntima, best Brazilian short film from É Tudo Verdade 2006 and winner of the special jury Kikito award, in addition to another 19 awards. She also directed, among other movies, the films made for TV Ultra Baby and My Baby Reborn, released in 2018 on GNT.
