Carlos Fonte Boa

Carlos was born from a traditional Brazilian family on June 12th, 1979, in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, and raised in Rio de Janeiro city. His mother, Valeria Neves is a Psychologist from an Italian/Portuguese family; his father Sueroz Fonte Boa, a lawyer from a German family and his younger brother, Alexandre, is also a professional lawyer. Carlos's last name comes from German "Gute quelle" originally from a family from Alsace Lorraine, Germany. Carlos has been involved in sports, debating, student government and as a dancer in some musicals. Carlos attended the Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras where he majored as an actor with a focus on Theater. He occasionally acted in fraternity shows and he is passionate about environmental and humanitarian causes. He left college one credit short of graduating to make his own Theater company. He is a tireless fighter. He started his own company without any money, writing his plays, producing, directing and acting for 2 years. Despite all the difficulties in Brazil, he managed for two years to make it with his own effort and box office money, his plays with his company. However, his portrayals in theater, soap operas, movies and series also loom large in his filmography. Before he became successful at acting, Carlos had supported himself as a professional dancer for 10 years and made money investments. Carlos began attracting the producers' attention, who casted him in small roles in some television series. Carlos's earliest credited roles were in television, starting on the soap opera "Ti Ti Ti" before appearing in the recurring role as Marcelo on the legendary prime time soap opera da Globo, Avenida Brasil. Following a string of guest appearances on various television series through the 2010s, Carlos gained widespread attention with the character Marcelo from Avenida Brazil soap opera, becoming one of the most requested actors of the television station for this type of job. But Carlos's career hit an upswing with his casting in "A TEIA", which cemented his status as a multi-layered actor as opposed to just a pretty body and face. With his head completely shaved he plays a brave and tough cop who faces a gang of thieves on a fearless asphalt to the freight airport. Carlos's subsequent projects were as quirky and varied in tone as his performances. Carlos is a single man who lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he cares for his entire family and still performs his work as an actor in theaters, TV and movies.
