Samuel graduated in 2018 from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor Arts in Film and Television and a double concentration in Producing and Documentary. Since the age of 16, he has produced several audiovisual initiatives and multidisciplinary projects with the aim to generate a progressive social impact. In collaboration with the City Hall of Barcelona and other civic organizations, he has produced several short-films, theater plays, photography exhibits, as well as laColumna.cat, an online magazine about politics and culture, including video content. His commitment to activism revolves around student and women's rights, as well as migrant and asylum-related issues. Samuel's most recent work, Colis Suspect (Suspicious Package) is a feature-length documentary about border security in the context of the humanitarian refugee crisis taking place in the European Union. The film premiered in the Tetouan Film Festival Official and won the Best First Film Prize. In 2018, he began producing Fight Forward, a feature-length documentary following several students leaders across California and their fight for tuition-free and accessible, affordable public universities.
