Michael Jones

Michael Jones is an actor from Cornwall in the South West of the UK, born in Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, Devon. Michael (as of March 2018) is a Student Paramedic with South Western Ambulance Service undertaking a 3 year BSc Degree at the University of Plymouth. In previous education, Michael attended City College Plymouth and studied Medical Science. Previously, Michael attended Callington Community College. Michael has, for the majority of his acting career been a Theatre Actor at Sterts Theatre, located in Cornwall. His acting credits for Sterts Theatre are as follows: 2008 - Starred as Dodger in Oliver Twist, which was his Debut; 2009 - Children of Eden; 2010 - Reigate in A Voyage Around My Father & in Peter Pan; 2011 - Wind In The Willows Filmography: 2011 - Young Kevin in Weekend Retreat Other life: Apart from the Acting Michael has done a variety of things. From May 2011 to December 2012 Michael was Chairman of the St Ive Youth Council and sat on the Caradon Community Network area Panel. Michael was also a 2012 UK Digital Champion and was a Cybermentor with the charity Beatbullying. Michael is currently a Referee with The FA and a Youth Leader with St John Ambulance As of November 2014, Michael was appointed as the Chairman of the Youth Committee for the Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB) and makes up part of the Society's Leadership Team, as well as sitting on the International Amateur Radio Union's (IARU R1) youth working group. Accolades within the Radio Society include organising a young members "DXpedition" to the Brecon Beacons in 2015. The biggest accolade to date was Michael's involvement in Youngsters on the Air 2017 (YOTA). Michael formed part of the project board organising an international event comprising of over 80 young people from 27 different countries coming to the UK for a week of radio related activities, more about YOTA 2017 and the RSGB Youth Committee can be found online.
