Sean Murdock has been hooked on the magic of filmmaking since "The Making of Star Wars". This behind the scenes look at Hollywood magic at its best for that time sparked a curiosity in Sean that has never been extinguished. The high cost of production kept him in the bleachers until DSLRs opened up the flood gates for amateur filmmakers. In 2007 he wrote, produced, shot and directed his first short film, "1st Dates" and premiered it at the SoHo Gallery for Digital Arts in Soho, NY. Over 180 people attended the two screening Red Carpet premiere and was well received. The support encouraged him to write his feature romantic comedy "Ladies Love Leo Littles (A Lesson In Chivalry)" which is in post production. The film stars seasoned actor Hassan Johnson (HBO's "The Wire") and a host of talented actors. Mr. Murdock is an astute observer who also honed his skills will working as a production assistant on set of the hit T.V. series, "Power". It was here that he was further encouraged after a brief conversation with director, Anthony Hemingway, who had seen a clip of his work. Mr. Murdock has also directed, edited and color corrected music videos for unsigned independent artists as well as established artists such as Hell Rell from Dipset. Writing, however, is his passion and he has since penned several television series that fall into various genres from crime stories to sitcoms and dramas. To hone his skills Mr. Murdock has attended several film writing and pitch workshops and has been certified as a community producer in the field and mini studio at BRIC Media which serves as the public access channel for Brooklyn, NY.
