Caya Ryu

Caya is an animator,filmmaker and illustrator born on May 29, 1991, in São Paulo, Brazil. She started drawing very early in her childhood and always loved exploring her imagination in the creation of whimsical characters and images, which resulted on many Illustration awards as a child and teenager. While majoring in Film at FAAP(Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado), she started working as an animator and soon on her first animated short-film, "The Prince's Heart", which was selected by many acclaimed Film Festivals over the world. It also won the Award for Best Art-Direction and Best Screen-Writing for short-film in the Gramado International Film Festival. As of 2014, she resides in Toronto, where she attends to Animation school.
