Born Wilfred Wong in Vancouver, Wil was raised in Toronto, Canada. The youngest of three to Helen and Gilbert, Wil worked 8 years for Harbourfront Centre teaching kids acting, improv, computer, and TV video production while also employed with Front of House team at the Ed Mirvish Theatre (formerly known as the Pantages) to help pay for school. Graduating from York University with a Theatre degree, he further honed his Live Event technical & producing skills working for Shooting Stars Productions, 8 years for Shaw Communications, and 5 years with Loblaw Companies Ltd. (Canada's largest food grocery chain) Marketing and Communications departments leading their Business Television division and executive producing over 1000 LIVE internal broadcasts and 200 Town Halls & Conferences while managing 5 broadcast studios across Canada. After leaving Loblaw, Wil has moved onto leading Movme Incorporated, a feature film company aiming to create original works and offering services to independent filmmakers and creators in Canada. Wil can be found teaching the Red Camera workshops with LIFT as he develops new feature films.
