Peter LaVecchia was born in Plainfield, New Jersey to Dan & Pat LaVecchia. Peter is the youngest of 4 with two sisters and a brother. He grew up in Fanwood and attended Scotch Plains-Fanwood HS. Pete began modeling at age 15 doing various print jobs and fashion shows in the NY/NJ area. He began taking acting classes in NYC but after a few years in the business, took the advice of getting an education and went to Boston University where 4 years later he graduated with a BSBA with a concentration in finance. Having completed college he decided to give the finance world a go where he began working at Tullet & Tokyo brokerage house and then moving on to Cantor Fitzgerald. Peter started developing his career as a currency option broker but after 3 years decided that it wasn't the road he wanted to take and moved to San Diego. Still yearning for the acting world, he began taking classes in San Diego and Los Angeles. Slowly developing his craft he tended bar for several years while also working in sales for a sportswear company eventually going on to open a restaurant for 5 years. During this time, Peter started seeing successes in booking commercials and industrial videos in the San Diego region. After the sale of the restaurant, and with the number of auditions in LA growing, he moved to Los Angeles in 2012. Shortly thereafter he signed on commercially with the Daniel Hoff Agency where he immediately began to see success in booking commercials with Disney, Fruit of the Loom, Honda, and Wal-Mart, to name a few. Moving into the world of film, he's booked roles in shorts and student films such as Dinner, Table for Two, Dangerous Love and in 2016 the pilot episode of Pitch playing Joe Amazzo, the team scout alongside Michael Beach and Kylie Bunbury. He continued to craft his trade studying with Brian Reise, Lesly Kahn, Killian McHugh and Margie Haber.
