Rick Wood

Rick Wood is a journalist/documentary filmmaker from the United States. He was born in Germany in 1972 to a U.S. military father and German mother. Rick graduated from Winter Park High School, in Winter Park, Florida. He enlisted in the Army at age 17 and served with the 101st Airborne Division in combat during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. Rick began a career in journalism in 2004. He has written for several newspapers, magazines and national websites. Also in 2004, he was diagnosed with Meniere's disease and suffers from hearing impairment. Rick resides in South Florida and began work on his directorial debut documentary film on rescued sea turtles in 2011.
