Jiajie Yu Yan

Jiajie Yu Yan was born in Barcelona (Spain). He graduated in Audiovisual Communication at the Ramon Llull University and did a Master's Degree in Film Directing and Scriptwriting at Bande à Part film School in Barcelona. After that, he moved to Madrid where he studied a Master's Degree in Cinematography at EFTI. His short film Aliens (2016) filmed in Benidorm, has been selected in 40 international and national festivals. His latest short film Xiao Xian (2019) has been selected in more than 100 festivals and has achieved more than 20 awards so far and was nominated for the Goya Awards 2020 for Best Fiction Short Film.
